Soggy Sony

One of my friends/coworkers gave me their old Sony A7III with the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 mark 1 lens. A beautiful kit to give away right? Well it’s been in the drink, a river to be exact. He was filming his YouTube videos a year ago and the misplaced camera and lens took a tumble into the water becoming fully submerged. After that nothing worked for him. Upon me receiving it though its been a very long time and its well dry now. The sensor needs a clean and there is water spots inside the lens that show when at f/22 but its working. I charged the battery and updated everything the camera and lens. I offered it back to him showing its working with some character now. He has moved on from it though. So I will use this along with my Lumix S5 II. The image below was the night I got it out in Cleveland, QLD to just have a play with it before heading home after work. More to come….
